Themeda australis.  Native grass.

Mature size: Height 50cm-1.5m including the flower spike x Width 50cm.

Position: Full sun.

Flowers: Reddish/brown, in Summer.

Soil: Any type.

Frost tolerance: Light.

Family: Poaceae.

Kangaroo Grass is a hardy, tufted perennial grass forming spreading clumps 0.5–1.5 metres high with greyish-green or blue-grey foliage. Reddish-brown flower spikes appear from late spring to mid autumn. Thrives in sunny to semi-shade positions and tolerates extended dry periods once established. Ideal for rockeries and hardy in most soils. Propagate from seed or by dividing established clumps.

Fertiliser is not generally required. Trim back to 10-15cm annually in late Winter.
